Gainer, Donnelly and Desroches Maintains Commitment to Houston Community
HOUSTON, TX — January 31, 2005 – Gainer, Donnelly and Desroches LLP., a certified public accounting firm providing highly personalized and comprehensive tax, audit and business management services to privately-held businesses and individuals, has maintained its commitment to the Houston community through its charitable giving program. For the seventh year, employees nominated and voted on organizations to contribute a portion of the profit each quarter. The firm gave away approximately $90,000 in 2004 to organizations including the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, The ARC of Greater Houston, The Epilepsy Foundation of SE Texas, Including Kids, The Children’s Fund, St. Michaels Bread of Life Program, Rotary Lombardi Award and Cenikor.

These dollars are being directed towards patient services that include educational programs, family support groups and financial aid to our patients", said Janie Mitts Moore, Campaign Manager of the Team in Training program of the Texas Gulf Coast Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. "Donations are also used to support millions of dollars in research worldwide. In Houston alone we are currently funding 16 researchers at the Texas Medical Center."
