GD&D PRINCIPAL APPOINTED AS CHAIR OF HOUSTON CPA SOCIETY

HOUSTON, TX — September 11, 2008 -- Gainer, Donnelly & Desroches principal, Barry Corbitt, has been appointed the Houston CPA Society’s 2008-2009 Real Estate Group Chair.
Barry’s industry knowledge and breadth of experience make him a perfect chair for this committee. With over thirty years in public and industry accounting and a particular expertise in real estate tax, Corbitt’s industry experience encompasses areas of financial and tax services including federal and state tax compliance for business entities, mergers and acquisitions, business restructuring and income tax accounting for business entities. Additionally, Corbitt has previously served as Board Member and Chairman of the Tax Committee for the National Association of Real Estate Companies for over a decade and was the Tax Director of the Woodlands Corporation for ten years.
