THREE NEW PARTNERS ANNOUNCED AT GAINER, DONNELLY & DESROCHES, LLP
HOUSTON, TX — December 8, 2008 -- Gainer, Donnelly & Desroches, LLP is pleased to announce the promotion of three of our Principals to Partner.
The following people have been named Partners:
Barry C. Corbitt, CPA, has over thirty years of experience in public and industry accounting. With a particular expertise in real estate tax, Corbitt’s industry experience encompasses areas of financial and tax services including federal and state tax compliance for business entities, mergers and acquisitions, business restructuring and income tax accounting for business entities. Corbitt currently serves as chair of the Houston CPA Society’s 2008-2009 Real Estate Group, and previously served as Board Member and Chairman of the Tax Committee for the National Association of Real Estate Companies for over a decade.
G. Scott Soles, CPA, has over twenty-five years of experience in industry and public accounting. In addition to external auditing and financial statement preparation, Soles has served extensively in the international marketplace. His public and private company roles include expatriate finance and accounting, mergers and acquisitions, compliance monitoring and internal audit, fraud and forensics, Sarbanes-Oxley programs, and business transformation. Soles is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants, and Institute of Internal Auditors.
Leslie A. Berardo, CPA, has over twenty-five years of experience in public accounting. Before joining GD&D, she was a principal with another local Houston firm where she headed up the governmental and non-profit audit practice. Her audit experience covers a variety of non-profit organizations and governmental entities including health and welfare organizations, private foundations, community college, special districts and municipalities. Berardo has been directly responsible for financial and compliance reports issued in accordance with the Single Audit Act of 1996, Government Auditing Standards and OMB Circular A-133. Berardo is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
