IGAF (International Group of Accounting Firms) Worldwide is one of the oldest, largest, most respected accounting associations in the world. It was founded in 1977 for the purpose of providing members with tools and resources they need to furnish abroad spectrum of efficient, cost-effective accounting, auditing, and management services to clients around
the globe.

National and international coverage.
IGAF Worldwide was founded in 1977 by ten firms in the United States and Canada. Since that time the association has grown to over 130 firms, with over 430 offices in more than 50 countries around the world. In 2008, member firms had over 1,200 partners and over 11,500 personnel generating approximately US$1.3 billion in annual revenues. IGAF provides its members with the strength and capabilities of a large, worldwide association with diverse technical skills and geographic representation not possible for a local company alone.

The basic description IGAF Worldwide uses for its member firms is independent, visionary, growth-oriented accounting firms around the world. IGAF Worldwide’s independent member firms usually have many partners, and quite a few are second- or third-generation. Independent member firms are also among the largest and most well-respected in their marketplaces, with significant revenue targets appropriate to their geographic areas and local economies. IGAF Worldwide firms also encompass a variety of niche specialties, which makes for a more robust association with better opportunities for information sharing, benchmarking, and education.

The Houston CPA Society

The Houston Chapter of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants is a permanent source of continuing education as well as a professional network for CPAs, not only in Houston, but throughout Texas. With a membership base of 8,000 CPAs from a 13-county area, the Houston CPA Society is the largest CPA Chapter in Texas and larger than 42 state CPA societies.

American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)

The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants is the national, professional organization for all Certified Public Accountants.
